My son and his friend worked for them around '04. They were supposed to issue paychecks etc. Still waiting for paychecks after 21 years!
Would rate about 5 points BELOW zero if available!

College Pro Fergus, Ontario
In 2024, I hired college pro to clean inside and outside of windows and storms of my full 3 story house, eaves trough cleaning, and pressure washing patios and paths. I strongly recommended an in person estimate.
They refused and insisted their online system was accurate.
Day of:
1. They were confused by how the storms worked. Instead of admitting this, they removed ALL the storms and moved them to a central area- together/mixed/no way to identify which window they came from. They did not clean any windows.
They broke 2 main windows.
2. They used our kitchen table as a work bench and damaged the surface.
3. They marked the interior walls around the windows with dirt.
4. They did not do the eaves troughs or pressure washing.
5.
They enlisted my daughter to help them when she returned from school before I got home.
6. They promised to come back and finish and did not.
7. After an initial complaint to College Pro, an area manager came to waste our time surveying the mess. This person did nothing, said we didnt have to pay for the days work lol
8.
We had to hire a professional window cleaner to Dort out and reinstall the storms.
9. Stay far away from College Pro.

Verified ReviewerTerrible painters!!! Beware!!!
Terrible people painting my house. They painted like they were 5 years old.
Splats of paint all over my new floors and so many spots missed that I just couldn't believe it. The guy was training someone who painted my moldings! They cleaned the brushes in our basement, paint everywhere; there are coats hung on hooks going downstairs. The idiots' brushes nicked all the coats.
For the money we paid, the job was terrible, and I would never recommend them to anyone.
They also missed all the painting around ceiling fans. No one ever called me back when I left messages.

Review of quality
If there was less than a zero, I would. College Pros painted our house.
One day they painted in the rain. They were messy and less than three years later..... the paint is peeling off in large spots on the front of our house.
We are scheduling another house painting job. I strongly recommend AGAINST College Pros.

Deposit return
We set up exterior paint job, then I had health issues that we had to address . I cancelled the painting and asked franchise rep to mail or drop off deposit.
This was a month before scheduled time, nothing was bought to do the painting . He refused saying it could be put to do next year or reduce items to paint. After emails x 5 I knew I would have to contact our lawyer . The firm drew up a letter and sent it to franchise owner .
He came a week later and had us sign paperwork and said he’d go get the money in truck. I girl then comes to our door with a plastic wrapped package we didn’t know her she said here’s your Wells Fargo money while she was on phone. She tossed it to my husband and took off . He told her we wanted green (dollars) .
Him & girl drove off . So we went to Idaho credit union & used banks coin machine to count the money. It wasn’t $650.00 dollars we were owed.
Is this how you want the “College Pro Painters to be represented??? Contact us for further information .

Took my deposit but never showed for the job - going to court
Booked a paint job with $1000 deposit in March for an August job. Painter left the company.
I have been working for 2 months now trying to get my deposit back without success.
The call center is always polite and I sometimes get a call back but still not resolve. They have my money and I have nothing.
I am now in the process of filing small claims to get my deposit back.

Can't seem to get owner to show up after multiple calls, text, and a appointment
I have called college pro painters and they gave me information to local Wisconsin Franchise owner Fletcher Arlen out of Wausau,Wis. after talking with Fletcher and calls ,text.I called setting up a Free Estimate set up with the college pro painters number 1-80*-327-****.I still have yet to receive a call or email or a text from( Fletcher Arlen)he never showed up to appointment that was made by the Company .Very Unprofessional, I will not give a good referral for this company or use them. This Franchise owner told me he Graduated from college and has time to paint where most of these employees have to go back to college.
Terrible communication, timelines and organizational skills
I had College Pro rep Justin Cooper out of Salem, OR just recently complete a job of full exterior paint. On a scale of 1 to 5, the actual paint job I would give a 4.
My dad and I unfortunately had to supervise the entire project to ensure all of our needs were met, which for the most part were.
HOWEVER, I believe customer satisfaction deals with the entire experience. So regarding the timeliness, organizational skills, and communication, I give him a 1. On day 1, Justin did not bring the caulking we agreed upon in estimate, my dad had to go and purchase it. A total of 2 spills occurred which cost me a half a gallon of paint.
I ended up having to buy more due to this negligence. Justin showed up on time once during the whole project (as he had too many projects going at one time and spread himself too thin) and sometimes left 1 guy at my job! Most of his crew by the way were fantastic (mainly Jose). Justin talked me into brush and roll, and I found out he had sprayed one side of my house and was not going to notify me (seems like he wanted to hurry the job along).
I found out that Justin was not aware that you are to stir the paint prior to use!!! WOW. I was asked if his crew could borrow one of my personal ladders as apparently he did not have enough supplies for the job. He indicated the job would take 4 days.
He was here for 6 and would possibly have been here longer except we just said we would take care of additional touch ups as well as the MASSIVE MESS left with paint drops on my deck out back.
I cant give all negative as I know Justin would have done whatever to make us happy, however, I didnt want him around for a month to make that happen. Would I choose College Pro again? Absolutely not.
Would I recommend them? Probably not.
PAINt in my side
Franchise owner very disrespectful. brought his dog to site every day & had to deal with it every 20 min.
so it wouldn't dig up the lawn. He parked on neighbors easement so dog could see him. Dog got away one time while owner was off doing something, when i managed to capture the dog and bring him back, the guy accused me of taking him out of his car. Had his car detailed by a mobile firm on site.
He was defensive and argumentative even at the slighest question. Couldn't joke with him as he took it personally.
Accused my husband of mixing up downspouts as he couldn't figure out where they went when it was time to put them back on. he was unprofessional and a total jerk.
Confirmed-than never showed
Were supposed to show up at 7 o'clock. No call, no show, after emailing the appointment was confirmed.
DO NOT USE THIS FIRM.

The house was painted but notice numerous spots that were not. They also cleaned tools in backyard near shed and spilled paint on floor and back wall
Took payment but never returned to complete the job.
I complained called company several times was referred to a higher up person who called me once. Job was worked in june now it is oct.
Still no call back.
Jullian brown never finished the job. He took money from seniors who paid him in good faith believing he would return to complete the job.
Very unprofessional
I contacted College Pro Painters about having our house painted, a time was scheduled and a rep by the name of Ross came out with another rep in training named Chris, they talked about the process, went outside and did some measuring to find out approximately how long it would take and how much paint it would take to paint our house, this is when things went downhill, a contract was written up, a deposit was paid, and a start date was scheduled. During the time leading up to the start date, I started to hear that my choice of Painters was not my best choice, I did some digging and found out that the information on our contract was not valid and that the license number for the state of MI.
Was not correct and actually had expired and that according to the Attorney General, they could only do jobs up to and not exceeding $500.00, I contacted Ross and explained that I was uncomfortable with them painting my house as I was being lied to and asked for the contract to be voided, I was sent a form to fill out and return to get my deposit back, I waited two weeks and still no check, I contacted Ross again and he lied to me again by saying that my check had already been issued and sent in the mail, I then waited yet another 10 days and still no refund, my check arrived that day with the day issued on it of three days prior to arrival and a mail date of two days before I received it.
Ross had told me that he did not like to play games with people and all I received from him was one big game. Chris was the one who contacted me a few days prior to the start day giving me this information and also told me that he was leaving College Pro and going out on his own when he received the proper license, I then was contacted by a painter from Grand Rapids through College Pro saying that he was taking over for Chris and was asking if the start date would still work, I told him that he was not allowed on my property until a proper license and new contract was offered, I WILL NEVER HAVE COLLEGE PRO AS A PAINTER AND WILL ADVISE OTHERS OF MY EXPERIENCE.

Poor work
We hired College Pros Paining out of Helena, Montana. The work was very poor.
The painters were messing and believe it or not, painted in the rain. No surprise that the paint ran. The local College Pros franchise went through three different crews and took a month to do a job that was promised to be done in two weeks. Granted, rainy weather did play a part in the length of time to get the job done but then again....so did having to re-do the vast majority of the job.
They slopped paint all over the sidewalk, the iron railing in the back of the house and on the plants in the flower beds, despite being told the plants would be covered. Plants....lets not forget the worker walking all over the plants.
Two walk around later, we just paid them to get off the property and did plenty of touch up painting on our own. I do not recommend the Helena, Montana franchise of College Pros and if their work is any indication of work by other franchises....get some one else to do your job.
Overpriced - Underperforming
The first College Pro guy who came, quoted the job, but we didn't act on it that season. So I called him the next spring only to find out he was no longer doing painting himself.
He sent me a different franchise owner to requote. That individual came & quoted, but then disappeared when it came time to schedule the work. A second franchise owner was called in to complete the job. But she had to requote because she wouldn't honor someone else's quote.
Shoddy & lackluster finished product. When it was first completed, it looked like they painted without scraping & sanding as contracted. The new paint layer was thin & looked like it had been applied with a spray gun. What Primer?
What sealer? Not what I was expecting for the amount of money I paid, and all the promises that the porch would last for years. I had my reservations, but since I'd already paid and the work was already done, there wasn't much I could do other than hope it held. However, after one winter all the painting that was done wore off.
The porch looks worse now than it did before they started. I don't want the same franchise owner back either. She wasn't very interested in painting. She spent most of her time telling me about her school plans and what she would do when the summer was over.
So now I get to contact their corporate office & complain. Wish me luck.
